🎯 Section Purpose
Surface fragility before it becomes failure. This section exists to anticipate what could meaningfully disrupt momentum — and to design light, adaptable safeguards that prevent single-point failure. Boss Kanin isn’t a mature org; it’s a lean, test-phase initiative. The goal is not zero risk — it’s known risk, buffered risk, recoverable risk.
🧑💼 Founder’s Role (First-in-command)
- Define what kinds of risk are acceptable (experimentation, perception) vs. non-negotiable (taste quality, safety, reputational trust).
- Own final calls on pivot, pause, or kill — especially when risks compound.
- Act as signal amplifier and story-holder when things go wrong (public-facing interpretation matters).
- Maintain emotional equilibrium. The founder sets the tone when uncertainty spikes.
🧑🔧 Operator’s Role (Second-in-command)
- Monitor systems for weak signals of breakdown (delays, test flops, user hesitation).
- Build lightweight fallback plans — especially around batch failure, distribution gaps, or emotional burnout.
- Normalize pre-mortems: “What breaks this, and what’s our next move if it does?”
